Mobility Management
Esslingen University is using a sustainable mobility concept to help it achieve a long-term reduction in the CO₂ emissions generated by its transport use, which is demonstrably the biggest contributor. It is focusing on the sustainable optimisation of three fields of activity: mobility behaviour (commuter traffic), business trips and vehicle fleet.
About the project
Duration: 1. September 2022 – 31. December 2024
Project title: B²MM (Betriebliches und behördliches Mobilitätsmanagement)
Project sponsor: Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport
The Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport has supported mobility management projects in companies and authorities since 2018 with its B²MM funding programme. Its goal is “to reduce traffic-generated pollution in the form of CO2 emissions, particulates and nitrogen oxides by funding mobility management measures in authorities and companies”. Using a two-stage method which starts with analysis and conceptual design, it funds the development of a sustainable mobility concept, followed by the implementation of the measures developed.
