IT Project Centre A forward-looking and varied topic

The Esslingen University of Applied Sciences IT Project Centre is designed to awaken and strengthen the interest of school students in IT.

Digitalisation is already an important topic Esslingen University of Applied Sciences. Autonomous driving, virtual reality, the Internet of things, mobile computing, seeing by machines and artificial intelligence are topics of teaching and research in a number of degree courses.  

Among them are the Bachelor’s degree courses Technical Informatics, Management Informatics, Software Engineering and Media Informatics, as well as the Master’s degree course in Applied Informatics

School students discover IT

The IT Project Centre provides an impression of the variety in IT. In programming projects that are well-illustrated and easy to understand, school students can create their own computer programmes. With expert assistance, they can try out things for themselves and discover that IT can be fun!

Learning, Knowledge, Application

The IT Project Centre transmits practice-oriented knowledge to create your own first computer programmes. No previous knowledge is required.

  • Different topics that are complete in themselves show different ways to programme and motivate participants to copy and further develop their own ideas.  
  • Exercises with different degrees of difficulty offer challenges that are suited to the participants’ level of knowledge.
  • The basic concepts of algorithms and data structures are transmitted in a playful way.
  • The basic knowledge obtained here can be extended later at home or in class.
