In the IT security lab, tests and experiments on the subject of IT security will be carried out. For this purpose, a network specially separated from the university network is used, in which real vulnerabilities and attacks can be tested risk-free. A powerful virtualization infrastructure provides the computing capacity for a large number of virtualized victim and attack PCs.

Study and research projects on the topic of IT security can also be carried out here. Once a week, the Hacking AG takes place in the IT Security Lab, in which students and staff deal with the topic of hacking and offensive security.
